9:30 AM - 10:30 AM    Baton Twirling Lessons - Baton Twirling Lessons
Hello Everyone, Sunny Martinson has a secret talent! She knows how to teach baton twirling!Would your kids like to learn how?We are going to do a one week class for kids! Then, when Labor Day comes along, if Thetford has a parade (which is in the works), the baton twirling class can be in the parade with their batons! If the parade is happening, there will be a couple of practice days later in the summer to prepare for the parade.Baton twirling is a fun activity that develops coordination and teamwork! Once you learn some techniques, you can spend the rest of the summer practicing your new tricks outside!Ages: Kids entering first grade through kids entering fifth grade (based on what grade they will be in next school year). I've updated the grade range due to multiple 5th grader parents reaching out.Older kids may sign up if they understand that they'll also be asked to be Sunny's helper at times (once they've learned some techniques during the class). Please contact Rachael if you want your older child to be signed up.Each child will need to be measured by Sunny before batons are purchased. We will be purchasing batons and you will get to keep your baton. The cost is included in the sign-up fee.Days/times for measurements: Sunny will be at Latham Library available to measure kids for batons on Tues 6/10 and Wed 6/11 from 3:15-3:45. Please sign up asap so we know who will be needing to be measured. Please reach out with any questions.: ~Rachael Cook (she/her)Thetford Recreation Directorrecreation@thetfordvt.govhttps://thetfordvt.myrec.com802-785-2922 x4
