6:00 PM - 7:00 PM    Baseball, Softball, Rookies, T-Ball - Spring 25 - Minors Baseball '25: Practice
Who is ready for Spring?   Let's Play Ball! *** Sign-Ups Close Wed 3/19 at Noon***When it comes to baseball and softball, Thetford and many other towns are part of the Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth League. These leagues are very established. They have boards that run local chapters.  They are very specific about their rules and safety measures.  All coaches and any adults that are going to help with a team need to go through the league's specified specific background check and training. The league determines which towns play each other within your state. New this year:In the past we had Rookies and T-Ball as part of the Cal Ripken league. It meant that we had to pay large dues for those teams as well and it meant that those teams played games against far away towns. This year Rookies and T-ball will not be in the league. We will be setting those teams up to play games with close by towns. Local towns that are in leagues are allowed to play any town that they wish to outside of their league, so we will be playing other close by towns regardless of league. Please note: When considering ages for this sport, the birthday cut-off for these teams is May 1st. Some or all of the teams will start indoors in the TES gym during April. Details to follow. ***For softball, please read all descriptions and sign-up for the one that fits best. There are overlapping ages in some of the groups. Experience/skill matter more than age in this case. Also, we are not sure that we will have enough kids for 2 softball teams so the teams may be combined. If we have enough players for two teams, Softball majors and minors players may be shifted between the two groups depending on skill level observed by coaches on the first few days of practice. League games will likely start the week of April 21 (however, we put in a request to not be set up with games during our vacation week). End of season tournament ends in early June. Older teams: After the season tournament, they hold tryouts for the All Star tournament which is only for players who qualify. Non Thetford residents please email me if interested in signing up. 2:45 PM - 3:45 PM    TES Art Club - Spring 25 - Grades 3/4 Art Club
It's time to sign up for Art Club! *** Please note that we had a huge number of kids on the wait list from last time. We offered the sign-up to them first this time around. Therefore, the 3/4 group is already full. I'm sorry for this factor. We needed to be sure that kids on the wait list got a chance to sign up.This Art Club will be done in the TES art room with Ms. Mathis as was done in the past. The only difference is that sign-ups are now being done through the Rec program because TES no longer has grant money to run the program. Art Club provides an opportunity for open studio time during in which TES students may explore, collaborate, and create using materials and techniques that have been introduced during art classes. Art Club will meet in the TES Art Room from 2:45-3:45 on the following Tuesdays: 3/254/14/84/15(skip April Vaca week)4/295/6 Art Club is open to all Thetford/TES students in grades 3-6 first-come, first-serve. Please note that it fills up very quickly.*** All participants will attend Art Club at the same time and in the same room. We have the sign-ups for the two ages separate to control how many kids in each age group may sign up.Please put your child on the wait list if there is no room and we will let you know if a spot becomes available. Art Club was previously covered by a grant through TES. Now Art Club is run through Thetford Rec so there is a sign-up fee which will primarily cover the cost of the supplies being bought for the program as well as help fund the Rec Program. Please contact Sara Bailey if the cost is a barrier.TASP Note: If your child needs to go to TASP after Art Club, please contact Robin Brown to fill out a form for TASP.

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM    Baseball, Softball, Rookies, T-Ball - Spring 25 - Minors Softball '25: Practice

5:30 PM - 6:30 PM    Baseball, Softball, Rookies, T-Ball - Spring 25 - Majors Baseball '25: Practice

5:00 PM - 6:00 PM    Baseball, Softball, Rookies, T-Ball - Spring 25 - Minors Baseball '25: Practice
Schedules may be shifted a bit once the games schedule comes out. For majors and minors, the leagues make the game schedules.
